Government has been implementing the Citizen’s charter in true letter and spirit. It’s the way forward in the smart governance. The banks have been also implementing citizen’s charter since long time. Ironically, the private sector don’t have any citizen’s charter. They claim that they are providing the services in quickest possible time. But, as seen from the economic offences and quality lapses, there is a need to insist the Citizen’s charter even in the private sector to have transparency and deter. It is pertinent to mention that most of the private sector organisations does the business with the public money.
Hence, it is the need of the hour to implement the Citizen’s charter in the private sector too.
Here, I would like to mention the success story of the banks after the Liberalisation. Government have allowed the private sector banks in large scale and a few foreign banks also entered. In this competitive circumstances, banks rose to the situation and modernised Themselves.

Similarly , the material from across the globe is being dumped in to our country. People of some sections are already started suffering. If they lack the competence and quality, they are put to heavy losses further.
Hence, in view of better services and quality of life , i request to take action have citizen’s charter scrupulously in private sector also. It will reduce the economic offences and lack of quality.
