Dear Prime minister sir, it is awesome to see many developments , social welfare activities are taking place under your tenure. But, much Development is not seen in sports and Games. This sector needs your attention.
Further, Development of a country is viewed when it is developed holistically. Specifically, the might of a country is viewed in terms of the medals and trophies it won in Olympics and other world Games. Unfortunately, we are lagging behind much. Sports and Games victories has no match with the victories we got in space technologies,IT, Pharma, solar energy, Nuclear energy, Defence, etc.
I want to recall your memory that USSR and USA was fighting for Olympic medals and world championships in cold war period . They won’t like to be defeated. They have provided many facilities for success of their players.
I have been watching the victories of India on China . We need to defeat them in the sports arena too. Here i am submitting some suggestions for improvement.
The victories in the field of sports and Games requires a long term strategy. The following are the activities required;
1. More number of gyms and stadiums are required to be established.
2. More number of school Games need to be organised.
3. More number of Sports Schools to be established with advanced facilities.
4.
More number of Physical Education Teachers and Physical Directors need to be appointed on outsourcing and outcome management basis.
5. The world class facilities like synthetic courts, lighting facilities are the need of the hour. We can’t expect world class players, without the world class facilities.

More number of International level tournaments need to be organised in our country. Due to less number of Tennis tournaments, players are to travel long distances by loosing energy, money and enthusiasm. Similar is the case with other sports. The cost of organizing a tournament ranges from 1 crore to 3 Crore rupees. But, same is not spent.
7. Reservations shall be applicable to sports persons in all kinds of jobs.
8. More number of coaches to be hired for training the players. You know better than anyone that Guru/ Acharya is essential for nurturing students.
9. One of My friend in Germany told me that they have Games hour on every day . We can also emulate it. It strengthen our people physically. Everyone irrespective of age, plays for that one hour in the evening.
10. There shall be Budgetary earmarking of at least 1% fund in union , State and Local Bodies Budget. Earlier Chandrababu Naidu levied 1% Additional tax on Property tax. You can levy 1% sports cess on every tax on the lines of swachh Bharat cess. The present Budgetary allocation is not even 0.1%. The allocation of 1% budget will make wonders.
11. Prize money is also a problem in our country. A sports person can’t take sports as career. He can’t earn adequate money. Hence, we need to provide adequate prize money, incentives, etc.
12. CSR funding is also a source of funds to be earmarked for the sports and Games.
13. A few communities have special skills .Earlier, such efforts are made and identified the Archers. Similar efforts must be made.
14. A few fathers/ mothers transform the total children in to players. A few parents will transform the area. You may support them adequately.
15. Initially concentrat on the Games and sports of women, as the competition is less.
16. The number of awards, scholarships and incentives has to be increased. Presently, they are inadequate to the size of our population.
17. Nepotism is the pest infected every field of our country. The transparent procedure has to be formulated and followed for selection of the players of the tournament.
18. Corruption is the another pest infected the sports and Games field. You may please eliminate it.
